In the 435th year of the Crystal Era, God closed the Holy Book for a span of 400 years. During that time, the Shadow Lord made another assault on the throne of the Almighty. His attack was aimed not at Heaven directly, but at followers of God. By removing the chosen people, God's influence on the world would be greatly diminished.

The Shadow Lord unleashed the hordes of demons and beast men against the world. False prophets strengthened by the powers of evil began to sway those who would listen and destroy those who would not. To protect His chosen, God bestowed great men and women with his awesome power and released the host of angels to aid them.

The Prophet War, as it came to be known, spanned across a period of almost 400 years. Through the rise and fall of nations, the battles raged on throughout the spiritual and earthly plane.

The greatest of these warriors was the holy assassin Akujiki. He once aided in a fierce attack upon the Shadow Lord as the creation of his armies was nearing completion. During the battle that ensued, Akujiki was overcome by the Shadow Lord's warriors and was lost to the Darkness.

Akujiki had remained as a dark, tortured soul who was trapped within the forsaken realms of Hell. Despite his strength, his spirit was twisted by the powers of darkness. The Shadow Lord forced him to betray his own kind and give up Heaven’s most guarded secrets. Akujiki became a corrupt shadow of his former self; a fallen angel trusted neither by Heaven nor Hell.

Akujiki's tortured spirit has resided within this body for many ages now but he still possesses the great strength and skill he once had. For those who oppose him, he is a destructive and deadly foe. In his current state, it is certain that he will see any aggressive action as opposition, no matter who initiates the act.
