A young Tarutaru of 19, Mikado is a simple wander. Running away from his abusive parents at the age of 11, he wandered the land looking not only for food and shelter, but also for a place to belong. One day he ran into an old hermit who began to speak to him about all kinds of magic and spells. Mikado was intrigued and decided to stay with the man.

He learned a lot from the old man. Not only the simple basics of magic including how to tame the heart of even the most ferocious monsters. But he learned something even more important from the hermit, how to survive alone, away from civilization. But before Mikado could find out the hermit's deepest secrets and teachings, an experiment gone wrong involving an ancient magical artifact caused the hermit to vanish from existence.

Mikado, depressed and lonely, now simply journeys the world in search of other relics from the past in hopes of finding an artifact that will allow him to recreate the failed experiment and discover the true meaning behind his friend's disappearance.

Hearing about the legend that is Tyreal, he sought out this man in hopes of discovering locations rich in artifacts for use in his experiments. After several adventures with the group, Mikado decided to remain with them because they seemed to have a knack for finding sites that were both full of mystery and plentiful in the ancient artifacts he searched so hard to find.

When around others he is quiet, but still friendly and respected. His major downfall lies in his passion to discover new things. As soon as his sense of discovery kicks in, the passion to fully explore that which has piqued his interest grows until he ignores everything else, including his own well being. After fully exploring that which caught his attention or giving up in frustration, he returns to the group as if he never left.
