FFXI NOVEMBER UPGRADES 11/25/2002 Square has revealed details on Final Fantasy XI's November update, which was implemented today. Maintenance will take place on 26th Nov, from 7:00-14:00 JST. Below is some information about the changes: 1. Level cap raised to lv60. A quest is required to break the level cap. However, this quest is not about beating monsters for items. Also other changes ... - Red Mages can use Raise at lv38. - Viruna (cures Virus) changed to lv34 for White Mage - Red Mages can use Silence at lv18. - Red Mages can use Invisible at lv25. - Red Mages can use Sneak at lv20. - Red Mages can use Deode at lv15. - Dark Knights can use Sleep at lv30. - Red mages can use Bind at lv11. Dark Knights can use it at lv20. - Holy now costs 100MP to cast. The range of Holy has changed from 25m to 15m. Success rate of the spell depends on the MND value. Casting time has been lengthened. - Flare (and other high level spell's) success rate depends on the INT value. - Cure caster's MND value has more effect on the Cure spell now. - Black magic the (II) series MP cost has been changed. 2. Job specific equipments (and quests) have been added. Only the original 6 jobs equipments have been added. 3. Several equipment visuals have been changed. One weapon has the elemental attribute fixed, and another weapon has the effect shown in the message log. Some musical instruments have extra effects on certain songs. Some HQ equipment have increased their base stat increase, and more jobs can wear them. 4. Eldieme, Crawler's next, Garlaige and outside Zvaul has the monsters rearranged. Now higher levels are required to fight there. For the original quest up to the level 55 cap, more monsters to fight have been added in those areas. 5. Fei-Yin, Xarbacard, and inside Castly Zuval have had the monsters rearranged. Levels have not changed. 6. Beadeaux's curse effect has been toned down. Toraimai's entrance method has been added. With an item gained by another quest, you will only need the item to open a door now. 7. The requirements to get Crawler's nest's map has been lowered. (?) 8. In dungeons, there are now higher level treasure chests (called treasure coffers). 9. One's level will have an effect on enemy's item drops. They may also drop several of the same items. 10. Enemy's targeting logic has changed. 11. Lowered the damage done from "weak enemies" (from the October patch that everybody complained) 12. Experience range has been increased. Previously the "practice monsters" can also become "easy monsters" 13. In weapon skill combos, the elemental attribute will be shown in the log. 14. WS combos, like magic, can be resisted by enemies' elemental defense. 15. WS combo levels changed. Like some previous skills (Lv2 explosion) have been changed to another effect. 16. Some NM's have strong elemental defense that can not be cancelled by songs (serenade) nor black mage ability (lowers resist rate). Please use some other elemental attribute to attack. 17. The range of Behemoth's wide range attack has been changed. 18. Some enemies' magic attacks have attribute change(?) 19. Some enemies have elemental defense and have defense stats changed. 20. Bomb enemies explode rate has been changed. 21. TP charging rate is now corresponding to the delay of the weapon. The damage taken from enemy will also have an effect on the TP charged. 22. Weapon/shield bash will lower enemies' TP. 23. Non-direct magic bursts will also be shown on logs. 24. Chain bonus will be shown on logs. 25. Message log change. Now the number of text shown is lowered. 26. Fixed bug that during combos some damage is shown twice. 27. Some texts changed color. Text filters changed. 28. Some magic sensing monsters will now only sense magic. (no more sensing MP users using items/etc) 29. Monk ability "martial arts" changed. (slower?) 30. Ability "concentrate" "evade" are can now be used in 5 minutes, their ability now lasts 2 minutes. 31. To jobs that do not have bare hands skills (or when equiping shields), attack rate is now changed. (lowered?) 32. White mages have new ability "Goddess' sign" (cure amount up) 33. Raise2 now recovers 75% lost experience, but if the recipient is less than lv50, they only regain 25%. 34. Black mages have new ability "Elves' sign" (magic resist down) 35. Thief has now new ability, hiding behind a teammate letting the teammate take the blow. Gil steal 2 has been cancelled. 36. Sneak attack will only make the first hit a sure hit in WS (like rangeki), the other strikes may miss. Single hit weapon skills hit rate up. 37. Magic "tractor" added (can be used by black mages and dark knights) - moves dead bodies. 38. Dark Knights now have ability "weapon bash". Works like shield bash, and can only be used with 2 handed weapons. 39. Against monsters that can not be charmed, Beastmasters will bind the monsters instead. Bind resist monsters will have no effect. 40. Beastmasters now has ability to cure monsters, but need to use item "Pet alfa" 41. Beastmasters can remain invisible even if he has a pet. 42. The price on Chocobos changes faster now. 43. Chocobo rentals added in various places. 44. Changes in message log when getting off a Chocobo. 45. Conquest rules added a "far range campaign" system. After talking to the guards to receive requirements, the party will be teleported to the far away place to fight. In that conquest, even opening treasure chests will add conquest points. If the goal is reached (taken from the guard), the party will receive personal conquest points. 46. Upper rank nations can get lower ranked nation's conquest items (points cost doubled) 47. Rank 6 conquest items added. 48. Reinforcements quests' conquest points changed. Plus you can only take that quest once an hour. 49. Can see monsters conquest rating bar now. 50. Signet visual effects added 51. Users can now auction single items of stackable items. The price cost to auction and the time range of the auction has now been changed. 52. Many items prices changed. 53. Some items can now be stacked. 54. Guild shop items changed. 55. Many shops in the worlds have the items changed. Conquest #1 nations can now sell items like black Chocobo's feathers in the Chocobo stables. 56. Harvesting points reappearing rate is now faster. 57. Mining items increased. 58. Guild ability changes - now when one type of skill is higher than 60, the other skills will be lowered. Guild skill cap is raised. 59. Some armors can be decomposed by using lightning crystals (but only some of the ingredients will remain) 60. Lower level alchemists can now make bullets. 61. Goblin bag expansion quest #4 unlocked. 62. Will now confirm when canceling Mog post and throw away items. (can not refuse auction) 63. Can now copy and paste macro commands. 64. Can get message from the friend list within the game. 65. Mouse left button is now smoother. 66. Color changes in the radar showing PT members and pet. 67. Added call commands (in case people fell asleep) - vibration + sound effects. |
