01/29/2003 Square will release the first add-on disc to its online MMORPG in April. Titled Final Fantasy XI: Vision of Ziraat, it will be released in Japan on April 17th for 3,980 yen ($33.62).
New jobs:
The Summoner job is confirmed, along with summoned beasts, Ifrit, Carbuncle and Titan. It is assumed that to gain the job, some difficult quest must be completed, and since one of the new locations is Ifrit's Cauldrons, Dengeki is guessing that you need to fight the beasts to be able to summon them.
The Ninja job is believed to be in the game, with one screenshot indicating the use of Ninjutsu. The black jujitsu clothing pictured is thought to be the Ninja's Artifact Armor.
New locations:
Off the south coast of the Mindalucia continent, there is an island called Elshimo. On that island is a volcano, surrounded by Yuhtunga Jungle. Scattered in clearings are ruins of buildings that are said by legend to have been built by the "Cursed People".
At the centre of Yuhtunga Volcano is a crater known as Ifrit's Cauldron. Is this where you can find the summon beast? Tales are told of Bombs being created here by the lava, and with volcanic gas filling the area, it is likely to be a very dangerous place.
Hidden in the woodlands on the eastern part of Elshimo is Uggalepih Temple. Built to enshrine the evil spirit of Uggalepih, the old temple has now crumbled and the area is occupied by Tonberries.
Off the west coast of Elshimo, at the bottom of the ocean, is a cave known as Norg Pirate's Hangout. This is the base of the pirates who wreak havoc in Bastea Ocean. It acts as a port where pirates come to sell their loot and stolen treasures, and it is thought many rare weapons are available to buy here. Gilgamesh is also located here, in the guise of a white-bearded pirate.
A long time ago, Galka's were chased by beasts from the south-western island of Guzoque, onto the main continent of Kwon. They escaped via a cave at the bottom of the ocean. This area is now known as Korroloka Gates and is full of beautiful scenery and coral, stained by the blood of slain Galka.
